The Opportunity We are currently seeking passionate industry professionals for Sous Chef (Full time) roles to assist with the execution of Massimo Mele's menu which gives Italian cuisine a local Tasmanian twist. The menu has a produce driven philosophy - simple, uncomplicated and seasonally changing, using quality ingredients where the local produce is hero.
About You Previous experience working as a Sous Chef and Chef trade qualification Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate a team - lead by example Build strong relationships with producers and ensures quality sourced produce Impeccable attention to detail Proactive and the willingness to take initiative and make sound business decisions Driven, creative and a genuine passion for cooking and a strong customer service focus Current knowledge of culinary trends and industry best practices - growth mindset Commitment, determination and reliability (with the availability to work late nights and on weekends as required) Able to demonstrate the capacity to perform the inherent requirements of the role Must have full working rights in Australia This is a rare opportunity to work in a dynamic environment alongside other industry professionals whilst enjoying a state of the art, brand new kitchen, in the heart of Hobart's new Parliament Square, complimenting Tasmania's newest luxury hotel, The Tasman.
