Location: MelbourneWork Type: Full timeSalary: $70,000 - $80,000 Plus superWe have an exciting opportunity for a Sous Chef Pastry located in a Melbourne bayside bakery.Successful candidates will have a strong work ethic and the ability to perform in a fast-paced kitchen.

Sponsorship is available; however, the candidate must already be in Australia to apply.Duties:Menu planningEstimating food and labour costsLiaising with suppliersMonitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentationEnsuring hygiene regulations are metFreezing and preserving foodsQualifications:Completion of a relevant Commercial Cookery qualification including Cert IV or Diploma of Hospitality are a minimum requirement.Minimum of 3 years experience is also a requirement for this Pastry Sous Chef role.Experience Required:Show sound pastry cookery techniques and ability to learn new onesWork well under pressureTeam orientedPositive, punctual and professional approachFamiliar with food safety and OHS guidelinesAttention to detailCompetency with ordering and managing stockPlease note, only short-listed candidates will be contacted.
