Our workstay properties are ideally located to provide accommodation services where they're needed including mining accommodation services and are able to cater for small groups of 5-70 people as well as large workforces of 300+. We offer choice to businesses with single rooms, cabins or motel style rooms and an additional mobile fleet of caravans, able to move between our network of parks meaning our workforce and mining camp needs can be met with demand on short notice. The RoleAs the Sous Chef joining our Lady Loretta Village/Mine Site, you will be responsible for providing an efficient and cost-effective food service, with the smooth day-to-day operation in a Commercial Kitchen consisting ofshifts over Breakfast & Dinner on a 14/7 day roster, with consistent superior guest focus at the forefront of all activities. As a Chef you will achieve this through implementing a strong service focus and ensuring that efficient standards and practices are employed. You will cook dishes that will delight our customers with their taste and timely delivery.
You will assist in overseeing all kitchen employees, including training and performance development. You will be responsible for providing smorgasbord/buffet style dining & breakfast for guests residing at the Village. You will also liaise with front of house staff to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of daily services.
About YouMust have experience in remote locations and experience in similar set up facilitating 20,000 meals a month. The position includes the below responsibilities:
Food preparation and presentation (breakfast, crib and dinner)Adherence to dietary requirements (allergies, special requests)Management of stock ordering, rotation and stocktakingMaintaining a clean kitchen, equipment and utensilsAdherence to legislated food hygiene and general safety practicesAssisting the broader team as requiredIn order to be successful in this role you will need:
