Are you a culinary whiz with a passion for creating great experiences? Look no further! As our Sous Chef, you will be working alongside the Head Chef and will be instrumental in assisting with new concepts and styles of food whilst maintaining that key work-life balance you've always wanted!
Our Sous Chef will participate in the design, costing and production of all food in the hotel and utilise available resources to produce high-quality food according to standards set by the hotel. You will be an invaluable support to our Head Chef, ensuring the smooth running of daily kitchen tasks. You'll take charge of controlling food costs, diligently completing health and safety logs, and inspecting incoming goods for quality. Leading and managing the kitchen team to deliver quality foods efficiently.
Key Duties & Responsibilities: Responsible for preparation, cooking and presentation of all food items within the kitchen Supervise and provide training and guidance to all kitchen personnel to ensure the growth of the business and individual staff in the department. Assist the Head Chef with menu design and costings. Ensuring cost of sales and targets are met. Assign tasks to ensure smooth operations and follow-up to ensure effectiveness. Prepare, cook, and present top-notch dishes. Training and mentoring kitchen staff in cooking procedures. Encourage and promote excellent service to exceed customer expectations. Experience required for this role: Minimum two years experience in a similar role. Solid experience leading and directing a kitchen team. Impeccable pride in delivering consistent, high-quality produce. Excellent time management skills for handling pressure and prioritizing tasks. Proven leadership and organizational abilities. We work Wednesday - Friday dinner only Saturday and Sunday lunch and dinner.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $59,148.45 – $75,000.00 per year
