Sous Chef

Job Description

Reporting to our Executive Chef you will be responsible for assisting in the management of the Kitchen team to maximise food and beverage profitability whilst overseeing food preparation, production and implementation of menus. In this exciting role you will have the opportunity to work across multiple outlets; Pumphouse Sydney, Pier St. Grill, Conference and Events, and In Room Dining.  
You will have the opportunity to utilise your creativity to work with our Executive Chef to develop innovative menus, and constantly respond to any changes in food styles and service trends. In addition to this you will be expected to mentor and guide our team of Chefs ensuring constant improvement and development.

Qualifications

You will be a passionate Chef who thrives on working in a fast paced and dynamic environment. You will be a creative who has a keen eye for detail, and enjoys creating exceptional guest experiences. In addition to being trade qualified, you will also be someone who prides yourself on your strong communication skills and efficient problem-solving skills. Due to the high-volume nature of the role you will be adept at working under pressure in a high-volume environment. You will work well in a team environment as well as autonomously.
