Description An exciting new opportunity has become available for a full-time Sous Chef to join our Dreamworld kitchen brigade.
This is in anticipation of the upcoming launch of our immersive and interactive themed restaurant, complete with function rooms, located in the soon-to-open Rivertown precinct.
Dreamworld and WhiteWater World boasts a diverse range of food & beverage outlets throughout our two parks, from the brand new 280 seat restaurant, to cafés and fast-food outlets, also incorporating seasonal activations & special events - and we want you to join the new adventure that awaits.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to join our team in a leadership role.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in high volume a-la-carte, special events and multi-site venues.
Being a part of our team, the Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive Chef to manage our kitchen team to ensure the highest standards of food service & food safety are maintained.
In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for managing the Kitchen Operations of our new A-la-carte restaurant, special events, and the day-to-day food outlets, supporting the Executive Chef.
About You Trade Chef Qualifications and Food Safety Supervisor Certification Minimum two years experience as a Sous Chef, in a large restaurant and/or special events Work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and leadership skills Exceptional interpersonal skills Self-motivated with keen eye for detail Demonstrated success in stock control, menu costing, menu development Good physical ability to perform manual and physically demanding work Work diversity Ability to work a 7-day roster including weekends, evenings and public holidays And importantly, we're looking for someone to join in the fun of working in a busy theme park environment, whilst creating something amazing!.
