Gang Gang Cafe and Bar is looking for a Sous Chef to join our team. Experience in a similar role is preferred, but we're willing to train the right applicant who's ready to step up into this position. You'll be working a mix of day and night shifts, so weekend availability and flexibility with rostering are essential. However, we prioritise work-life balance, and hours are reasonable.
We're a busy neighbourhood café located in Downer, in Canberra's inner north, with a strong focus on the local community. Our kitchen uses the best produce we can source—local and sustainable where possible—to present a menu that's both delicious and unique to the café scene.
The right candidate will join an established team and work closely alongside our Head Chef in the daily running and management of the kitchen. You'll collaborate on creating new menu items, manage stock control and budgeting, train and manage staff, and be able to lead the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence.
