Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:
Making every single meal a feast for the eyes and treat for the tastebudsWorking closely with the Executive chef on menu creation and delivering a memorable experience to our guestsDirecting daily kitchen activities as well as coaching and developing a capable team in a pre-opening hotelEncouraging and addressing guest feedbackSome administrative tasks including but not limited to rostering, stock take and ordering What We need from you: Experience as a Sous chef or one year in a supervisory capacity,You have a genuine passion for the food industry, ensuring quality and maintain high standards and keep the kitchen running smoothlyUnderstanding of HACCP and Work, Health and Safety legislationPassion for team development and mentoring your teamWell rounded experience in creating food for breakfast, lunch, dinner, rooms service and banquetingHave a current Food Safety CertificateAvailable to work a rotating roster, this includes evenings, weekends and Public HolidaysMust have working rights for Australia You'll be rewarded for your hard work with a suite of benefits that supports you and your family's wellbeing, including: Paid birthday leaveHotel perks like accommodation and food & beverage discountsEnhanced parental leaveProactive health days and flexible work options.Your career journey will be supported through our lifelong development programIHG Career Milestone celebrationsTransfer of entitlements as you move and grow with IHG.Access to our discount retail platform that makes your pay for even furtherWe are proud to be IHG and we know you will be too #Gofurthertogether.
