Position: Sourcing Specialist Location: Burwood, NSW Contract Duration: 5 months (with potential extension) Pay Rate: $35-$40/hour + Super Start Date: 23rd January 2025 Hours: 7.6 hours/day, 40 hours/week About the Role: Talent International is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Sourcing Specialist to join a dynamic NSW Government client.
In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering exceptional procurement services while contributing to process improvements.
Key Responsibilities: Procurement Activities: Accurately process purchase orders and conduct sourcing activities using platforms like Beeline, Guided Buy, and ARIBA.
Advisory Support: Assist the business with procurement advice and provide high-quality service to internal customers.
Collaboration: Work closely with Finance and Procurement Services teams, Solution Centre, and the Centre of Excellence to ensure seamless operations.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance sourcing processes and contribute to the team's continuous improvement initiatives.
Technical Capabilities: Exceptional customer service and effective communication skills.
Demonstrated integrity, a positive attitude, and the ability to take initiative.
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering results.
Preferred Skills and Experience: Experience with Rfx processes (RFP/RFQ) and writing agreements/contracts is advantageous.
Familiarity with ARIBA and SAP platforms is preferred but not mandatory.
Key Challenges: Adapting to an agile working environment and delivering across a broad scope of procurement service lines.
Educating stakeholders on system and process adoption while managing a high-volume workload.
Building and maintaining a strong reputation for Procurement Services through consistent, high-quality service delivery.
Main Stakeholders: External: Suppliers.
Internal: Cross-functional teams within the organisation, including Finance and Procurement Services.
Reporting Line: This role reports to a Team Leader within the wider Sourcing team.
