About the role Reporting to the Manager- Sourcing, the role is responsible for sourcing high quality, fashionable goods across a variety of product types including recycled donated, new donated and new purchased goods. This role requires a strong knowledge of Australian brands and a passion for fashionable product appropriate to local markets. Providing superior relationship management skills with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, with the primary goal of acquiring quality donated product for resale. The role requires an understanding of the circular economy with the ability to identify and execute opportunities to promote reuse. Results driven, superior negotiation and communication skills are critical.
Day to Day you will Source fashionable, high quality merchandise that meets retail requirements across all sales channels.Enhance and maintain current donor/supplier relationships with a focus on higher quality brands.Research and identify new donor/supplier relationships with a focus on higher quality brands.Acquire new business for donated product for resale.Leverage internal resources to develop corporate and high value donor relationships.Develop and maintain accurate records of donation value/volume by supplier and ensure appropriate supporter recognition.Identify donated product opportunities and areas of innovation to help grow the business.Develop and communicate pricing guidelines for stores; conduct regular reviews to ensure pricing is relevant and up to date.Lead and manage donation events including council donations drives, activations and other out of store donation opportunities.Stay current with trends and innovations with brands and retailers that promote reuse and donation innovation.Visit stores regularly to review and maintain an understanding of customer needs, sales trends, product mix, price points and the store environment.What you will bring Knowledge of Australian fashion industry & brands, understanding of fashion trends, and experience in fashion retail.Extensive understanding and experience of specialty retail operations and compliance issues.Excellent communication skills across internal and external partners.Demonstrated financial and numerical skills.Ability to think creatively and exercise initiative, discretion and judgment to solve problems.Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.Demonstrated experience of third-party negotiation utilising a consultative approach to decision making.Benefits that act for you, while you act for humanity Financial wellbeing: In addition to your salary, you can take advantage of salary packaging that could provide you with a great way to reduce the amount of tax you pay - and get more from your salary.
