Project Overview This is an industry-funded research project that involves understanding best practices of effective employment of lived experience workers in a variety of sectors and organizational contexts. This project will gain insights into system, governance, as well as human resource management issues to attract lived experience workers in organizations and to support their ongoing career development within organizations. About the College of Business and Law RMIT's College of Business and Law takes an industry and student-centred approach to its courses and programs, ensuring graduates are work ready and able to tackle business challenges, stakeholder needs, act as socially responsible global citizens and create fair and positive futures for all. About You As a Research Assistant you will undertake research activities in line with the University's research strategy. It is expected that the Research Assistant will work with an increasing degree of autonomy as skills and experience develop. Key Responsibilities • Proven exceptional research and writing skills. • Strong interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to work well under pressure. • Conduct comprehensive literature review in the area of lived experience workforce. • Contribute to the development of project reports in the area of lived experience workforce development. Key Selection Criteria To be successful in this position, you'll have as a minimum: 1. Prior knowledge and experience in the development of the lived experience (peer)workforce. 2.Substantial prior experiences in working with government and industry in the mental health sector 3.Identification as Lived Experience researcher and prior employment in designated lived experience informed positions 4.Ability to work autonomously whilst displaying a strong commitment to work with project team leaders 5.Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage varying workloads and respond to changing priorities as required. Qualifications Qualification in the relevant discipline area and have a master's degree. Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children Check.
