As a Solutions Architect, you will lead the evaluation, implementation, and adoption of dbt Cloud for our largest enterprise & commercial customers.
Applicants based in Sydney are strongly preferred.In this role, you can expect to:Work with customers through their dbt Cloud journey: from discovery, demos, & evaluations all the way through product adoption & expansionBecome an expert in a) designing enterprise-grade data pipelines in dbt Cloud and b) articulating the business value dbt Cloud accrues to customersCollaborate with customer contacts to achieve architecture & security approval for dbt CloudTeam across departments to build the dbt ecosystem and go-to-market motion (i.e.
present at Marketing events, enable Partners, collaborate with Customer Support & Professional Services)Act as the voice of the customer internally, e.g.
surfacing customer feedback or weighing in on product roadmapClosely align with our strategic partners (e.g.
data platform providers or consulting partners)Travel up to ~25% of the time (meeting prospects/customers in-person, plus team offsites / kickoffs)Be an active member of the dbt community (e.g.
publish blogs, attend dbt meetups, etc.
)You are a good fit if you have:4+ years of sales engineering, solutions architecture, or consulting in data operations, analytics, or BIA solid technical background, with experience in SQL, ETL, and data modellingA firm understanding of and ability to discuss modern data warehousing architecturesAbility to gather and translate technical and business requirements into concrete solutionsExcellent verbal, written, and in-person communication skills to discuss complex topics with both technical and non-technical audiencesAbility to operate in an ambiguous and fast-paced work environmentA passion for being an inclusive teammate and involved member of the communityYou'll have an edge if you have:Prior experience working at an analytics, ETL, BI, and/or open-sourced software companyKnowledge of or prior experience with dbtExperience with Dimensional ModelingExperience with traditional Enterprise ETL tooling (Informatica, Boomi, Talend, WhereScape)Qualifications:A minimum requirement of at least a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related fieldIf you are excited about this role and know that you could get there, but don't have 100% of the qualifications listed above, please still apply!
