Our client is a large and complex QLD State Government agency in the health sector.
Their Infrastructure Technology Solutions Program, within Digital Solutions and Technology (DST) is seeking a Solution Architect to commence delivery activities for the Building Rural and Remote Health Program and Digital Capital Program.
The total value of the program is > $1 Billion with a completion date of mid-2027.
Main Responsibilities: Design fit for purpose solutions that fully encompass the architectural concerns of business, information, application, technology and security domains in alignment with Enterprise Architecture strategies, directives and standards. Work with Vendors to identify solution capabilities and assure strategic alignment. Ensure system requirements are sufficiently captured to drive the architecting of a solution that fully meets the needs and expectations of system stakeholders. Develop documentation including Digital Blueprints, Solution Architecture Documents, Solution Implementation Designs. Consult, negotiate and communicate with system stakeholders and ICT professionals to promote shared and consistent understanding and acceptance of the proposed solution. Provide expert advice and communicate solution alternatives, architectural risks, issues and resulting implications. Contribute to the development of strategic project plans and schedules, including the identification of project risks, issues and appropriate mitigation strategies. Requirements: Must have experience with healthcare infrastructure within construction projects. Sound knowledge of at least two of the following is desirable: Networks (LAN and WAN); Wireless networks; voice and wireless voice technology; enterprise applications; and cabling infrastructure systems. While not mandatory, professional and tertiary level qualifications in ICT, system engineering and solution architecture or similar, is highly desirable. Reasonable travel as negotiated may be a requirement of this position. Selection Criteria: Proven expertise in the development of solution architectures for complex systems inclusive of all architectural domains and ensuring consistency with specified requirements agreed with both internal and external stakeholders (SFIA:ARCH - Solutions Architecture Level 6). Proven expertise in applying solution architecture principles, practices and processes within enterprise architecture, ICT investment and governance frameworks. Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities to identify, analyse and resolve technology challenges in response to business and ICT requirements. Proven expertise in the use of project management methodologies to assist service providers in meeting deadlines and agreed outcomes. Ability to establish and influence positive, strategic partnerships and collaborative working relationships with key senior executive stakeholders and key decision makers both internal and external to Queensland Health (SFIA: RLMT - Stakeholder Relationship Management Level 6).
