You will have a strong background in DevOps and continuous improvement.Key Accountabilities Design and document solutions for a data lakehouse on Snowflake, using Alation for data governance and connecting to Power BI and Workato. The solutions coverData ingestion, processing, storage, and access within Snowflake, integrating both structured and semi-structured data. Data quality, consistency, and reliability and strategies for deduplication, validation, and error handling. Monitoring and alerting mechanisms to track performance, usage, and errors.
Collaborate with DevOps, Data Engineering, and Security teams to ensure optimal build and integration of the data layer Track costs and performance and optimize designs for cost efficiency and performance Provide technical leadership and mentoring to team members Stay current with emerging cloud and data technologies and best practices Future proofing designs to meet evolving business requirements and incorporate new technologies

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field5+ years of experience in cloud and / or lakehouse design in AWS, Azure, or GCP Strong experience with cloud data warehousing, particularly Snowflake Familiarity with data management tools like Alation and integration platforms like Workato Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Strong understanding of security principles in cloud environments Excellent communication and documentation skills Experience working in Agile development environments Understanding of Australian Government ICT Security policies or equivalent Industry best practices Australian citizen with ability to obtain baseline clearance if required.
