Solutions Architect - Hybrid Role Open To: Australian Citizens With or Able To Pass Baseline Clearance Location: Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra Or Adelaide Duration: 6-12 months + Hybrid Role We're seeking a Solutions Architect who loves setting up best practice systems on state-of-the-art technology.

As a Solutions Architect you will work closely with security and data governance to ensure alignment to standards; and document solutions for the platform team to build.
You will have a strong background in Dev Ops and continuous improvement.
Key Accountabilities Design and document solutions for a data lakehouse on Snowflake, using Alation for data governance and connecting to Power BI and Workato.
The solutions cover Data ingestion, processing, storage, and access within Snowflake, integrating both structured and semi-structured data.
Data quality, consistency, and reliability and strategies for deduplication, validation, and error handling.
Monitoring and alerting mechanisms to track performance, usage, and errors.
Collaborate with Dev Ops, Data Engineering, and Security teams to ensure optimal build and integration of the data layer Track costs and performance and optimize designs for cost efficiency and performance Provide technical leadership and mentoring to team members Stay current with emerging cloud and data technologies and best practices Future proofing designs to meet evolving business requirements and incorporate new technologies Key Relationships Internal: Members of the ICT Division, all internal customers of ICT services External: ICT vendors and service providers Location: Any Financial Accountabilities: Not Applicable People Accountabilities: Not Applicable Essential Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field5+ years of experience in cloud and / or lakehouse design in AWS, Azure, or GCP Strong experience with cloud data warehousing, particularly Snowflake Familiarity with data management tools like Alation and integration platforms like Workato Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices Strong understanding of security principles in cloud environments Excellent communication and documentation skills Experience working in Agile development environments Understanding of Australian Government ICT Security policies or equivalent Industry best practices Australian citizen with ability to obtain baseline clearance if required.
