This role will be pivotal in shaping the architectural framework for enterprise solutions, aligning technology strategy with business goals, and ensuring effective engagement with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.Role Overview:As the Solution Architecture Practice Lead, you will be responsible for building, managing, and evolving the internal Solution Architecture practice. You will lead a team of skilled architects, guide the development of enterprise solutions, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives. This role requires a blend of leadership, technical expertise, and stakeholder management, with a focus on delivering high-quality architectural designs that support digital transformation across the organization.Key responsibilities include:Lead the Solution Architecture practice, driving strategic design and delivery across enterprise solutions.Develop and manage a comprehensive architecture capability, embedding architects within business-facing teams and aligning with value streams.Mentor and guide a team of Solution Architects, ensuring high-quality delivery, clear accountability, and alignment with enterprise standards.Oversee architectural governance, ensuring designs comply with standards, promote reuse, and add business value.Collaborate with senior stakeholders, providing expert advice on architecture decisions and technology strategy.Drive innovation in solution design, incorporating modern integration styles (e.g., RESTful APIs, GraphQL), microservices, and cloud-based platforms (preferably Azure).Produce and review Solution Architecture artifacts, including conceptual and high-level solution designs, while ensuring clarity and alignment with business objectives.Foster strong relationships with external vendors, guiding solution delivery and evaluating new technology options.Contribute to the Enterprise Architecture strategy, providing input into roadmaps, IT strategies, and reference architectures.Promote continuous improvement, enhancing the architecture practice through training, development pathways, and process optimization.Skills & Experience:12+ years of experience in IT, with a strong background in architecture leadership roles within the financial or investments sector.Proven experience in leading Solution Architecture teams, managing workload, and ensuring quality in architectural outputs.Strong expertise in architectural frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and Agile delivery models.Proficiency in modern design principles, including:Microservices and event-driven architectureAPI design and integration (RESTful APIs, GraphQL)Cloud platforms and hosting environments (preferably Azure)Digital security protocols (OAuth2, OIDC)Data management and transformation (ETL, ELT)Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging at C-suite and senior management levels.Strong commercial acumen and understanding of business drivers, financial concepts, and vendor management.Outstanding communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence decisions and drive strategic alignment.What's on Offer:Join a forward-thinking investments firm that values collaboration, innovation, and strategic leadership.
