In this role you will be helping our customers accelerate the global energy transition.Being a thought leader who creates and presents content you'll help the largest Telco companies scale and grow in non-linear ways, using AWS as their building blocks. To do this, you'll partner with internal teams to shape and execute a strategy to build mindshare and enable the broad use of AWS within the organisation.In this role, you will push technology boundaries and will have the opportunity to partner with customers early in their cloud journey and help them scale as well as customers further in their cloud journey where you can have visible and measurable impact in their growth ambitions. Be part of the team helping our largest customers find innovative and transformative ways to reinvent their business!Key job responsibilitiesWork directly with Telco customers to accelerate their business outcomes and recommend best-practice cloud architectures in line with their long-term business needs, using your interpersonal skills to influence a variety of stakeholders from technical teams to executives.Drive technical solution discussions with your customers, diving deep into the details to solve complex technical problems and use your knowledge to craft scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures.Define and execute on the strategy by engaging highly technical teams (Solutions Architects, Technical Account Managers, AWS professional services consultants and consulting/managed services partners).Act as a thought leader in the wider community, playing a key role in educating, sharing best practices, presenting at events, writing white papers, blogs, and running workshops.Serve as a key technical member of the Solutions Architecture team through influencing decision makers across multiple domains to ensure customer success in building applications and services on the AWS platform which align to long-term business goals.A day in the lifeManagers in the Solutions Architect team work on the most complex customer challenges and opportunities. They develop both the strategy and the team itself.Using an informed view of the market with an understanding of emerging technology trends they speed-up innovation across their customer segment.Externally, they are recognized thought leaders and influence the strategy of our customers. Internally, they earn a reputation of role models and deliver bar-raising guidance to the broader Solutions Architecture team. On a daily basis you will work alongside people who are leading the way in designing cloud bases architecture.We are the trusted advisor to our customers, so challenge our customers to think differently, learn more build elegant, transformative solutions!BASIC QUALIFICATIONS10+ years of enterprise IT application work that includes at least 2 years of hands-on software development or DevOps engineering experience2+ years of architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc. experience8+ years of technology solutions development and evangelising end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud computing experienceExperience leading and growing teams of senior technology professionals, ideally in customer facing rolesDeep knowledge of the Telco industry, their challenges and opportunities.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloudAcknowledgement of country:In the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
