Solution Architects

The Department primarily uses Microsoft Azure, M365, Dynamics365, and DevOps platforms.

Skills required:

Solid expertise in developing high level and detailed design solutions migration of in-house systems to Azure cloud including Active Directory, SharePoint, Exchange, and establishing virtual desktop infrastructure.
Experience in the development of Azure DevOps pipelines.
Experience and/or familiarity with Azure Virtual network configuration including hybrid network architecture.
Familiar with cyber security controls (ISM), OWASP and Essential 8 controls within federal government departments.
Technical knowledge of the Azure cloud platform.
Ability to work independently, build productive relationships and liaise with stakeholders (including business users, development team, Azure platform experts, cyber security experts and enterprise architects).
Strong communications skills and ability to convert business requirement into detailed design solution using concise language, diagrams and accurate technical details.
Desirable skills:

Cross domain security solution design for UNCLASSIFIED and PROTECTED environments.
Track record of technical leadership across project and operational tasks.
Experience in developing cost models and provision of advice on cost management.

Extension/s: 2 x 12 month option to extend

Security clearance: Ability to obtain a Baseline clearance is essential

Location: Canberra, A.C.T

Working arrangements: This role can be completed remotely, within parameters that can be negotiated. Please note: Remote working arrangements may be considered on a case-by-case basis in consultation with the supervising manager, subject to business needs.
