The position requires daily interaction with key functional areas of the business; direct support for the Sales and Product Management teams; technical and commercial management and engagement with the Data Centre community including but not limited to end users, consulting and contractor fraternity, facility managers, builders, relevant government agencies and data centre industry bodies.RESPONSIBILITIES:Adhere to PSA procedures and practices.Provide sales staff with technical assistance & support information on Vertiv product to assist with the sales activity.Review documentation submitted by Sales.If required, Bill of materials (BOM) itemising products and service included in offer.If required, work with product management to source quotes from third party product and services in support of offers.Completion of all work in a timely manner.Develop and maintain relationships with consultants, contractors, end users.Customer presentations to help guide product selection and drive technical discussions.Provide local technical support for major projects and data centre solutions.Provide design input for major projects and data centre solutions.Ensure that all calls and demonstrations are pre-planned and that adequate back-up material is available to ensure a positive client response.At all times ensure that dress and appearance is presentable, that Company policy is well understood, and that the Company's business is carried out in an efficient and professional manner.To act upon requests from the director of PSA relating to reporting of information and other matters.Undertake product training as required and directed by management.REQUIREMENTS:Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC or Thermal design and applications.Experience with the design and applications of Thermal units in data centres.Experience in performing Six sigma CFD modelling and knowledge of AUTOCAD / Revit / BIM modelling.Market knowledge of products.Tender processes and the application of products.An understanding of the Data Centre industry.Six sigma CFD analysis.Good technical understanding and knowledge of the product to be supported.Excellent competency in reading technical drawings and design specifications.Knowledge of the application of Australian and international standards framework and industry codes.Market knowledge of thermal management & power products including application.Tender processes and the application of products to fit their requirements.Excellent technical understanding and knowledge of thermal management products and concepts.Excellent competency in reading technical drawings and design specifications.
