Position summary The ServiceNow Solution Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing ServiceNow solutions.
This role involves understanding business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and ensuring the ServiceNow platform is optimally utilized to meet organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities: Solution Design and Architecture: Design and architect ServiceNow solutions based on business requirements.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, solution design documents, and integration specifications.
Ensure solutions adhere to best practices, standards, and governance policies.
Implementation and Development: Lead the implementation of ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, and others as needed.
Develop custom applications, workflows, and integrations on the ServiceNow platform.
Configure and customize the ServiceNow platform to meet business needs.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and understand requirements.
Conduct workshops and presentations to communicate solutions and gather feedback.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to project teams and developers.
Integration and Automation: Design and implement integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems.
Automate business processes using ServiceNow's orchestration and automation capabilities.
Quality Assurance and Testing: Ensure solutions are thoroughly tested and meet quality standards.
Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to developers to maintain high quality code.
Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest ServiceNow features, releases, and industry trends.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend innovative solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications: Technical Skills: Extensive experience with ServiceNow platform, including configuration, customization, and development.
Strong understanding of ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, and others.
Ability to Design, Implement and Configure ServiceNow Platform using CSDM.
Ability to Design and Maintain data integration dictionaries, ensuring Best Practices for data management and architecture are adhered to.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as JavaScript, GlideScript, and Jelly.
Experience with web technologies (HTML, CSS, XML, REST/SOAP APIs).
Professional Experience: Proven experience as a Solution Architect or similar role in ServiceNow implementations.
Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Experience in integrating ServiceNow with other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM).
Soft Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Certifications: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA), ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD), ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS), ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) – Preferred, ServiceNow Certified Master Architect (CMA) – Preferred.
Security Clearance Successful candidates must either hold an active Federal security clearance of Negative Vetting 1 (NV1), or higher, or be willing to undergo the security clearance process.
