We are creating the next generation of retail supply chain technology with a focus across our warehouse management, transport/logistics, inventory optimisation, and demand and forecasting systems.
As a Solution Architect (Infrastructure) you will lead our efforts to design fit-for-purpose and scalable Hardware and Networking capabilities for our Distribution Centres, enabling us to be at the forefront of Australian retail Supply Chain technology.
What you'll be doing Engaging with a diverse group of stakeholders to effectively understand the requirements of our Distribution Centres and their systems, to design effective, secure, stable and cost-efficient infrastructure and networking solutions.Assessing new technologies and tools to determine their suitability for the organization's needs.Engaging with our Enterprise Architecture teams to ensure new solutions are in line with established Kmart standards and best-practice.Establishing standards and protocols for infrastructure management, including documentation and compliance with industry regulations.Working with various technology teams across the organisation, fostering effective communication and collaboration to ensure alignment of our DC solutions with broader technological strategies.Acting as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating technical jargon into business-friendly language and demonstrating how infrastructure solutions contribute to overall business success.To be successful in this role you'll have: Extensive experience in designing and implementing Infrastructure solutions, particularly in the context of retail supply chain or logistics environments.
Provide examples of successful outcomes and improvements in efficiency, scalability, and overall performance.Deep knowledge of supply chain environments, and a clear understanding of the technological challenges and opportunities within the retail industry.Proven ability to design robust and scalable solutions that go beyond immediate business needs, ensuring adaptability to future requirements and advancements in technology.Ability to identify and assess development options and technology risks and in particular the ability to evaluate, analyse and compare COTS products and technologies.Proactive and innovative problem-solving skills, particularly in navigating challenges associated with legacy technology migration.Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical, to articulate complex Infrastructure and Networking architecture concepts clearly.
