About the roleWe have an opportunity for a Solution Architect to be part of our Enterprise Architecture and Strategy, Technology and Communication Services Command team. The Solution Architect is responsible for the development of the technology solutions and mapping the business requirements to systems/technical requirements to ensure they are in line with the enterprise architectural plan. For more information on this role (e.g. essential requirements, key accountabilities and capabilities required for the role), click here to view the role description.To be successful in this role, you will have: At least a minimum of 5+ years' experience in defining applications solutions architecture and design, integrations, infrastructure and cloud architectures, such as AWS, Azure, and/or Google cloud and hybrid services. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of TOGAF (certification in TOGAF or equivalent). Experience in the following technologies/frameworks. Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Digital technology and development; and Service Orientated Architecture (SOA). Experience as a solutions architect including exposure to projects of $10Mil+, with prior experience working on large scale projects within the government sector highly desirable. Experience in transformation programs such as data centre refresh and/or migration to cloud. Integration architecture experience including iPaaS, API Gateways, ETL, ESB and related technologies (e.g., REST, JSON, etc). Knowledge of Virtualisation platforms, such as VMware, OpenShift etc. Prior experience in AWS, Azure, and/or Google cloud services. Knowledge of emerging technologies, digital, cyber security, and IT industry market trends. Highly experienced user of MS Project and MS Office toolset (Word, Excel and Power Point); and Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and experience in dealing with complex situations.
