PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: As a solution architect, you will be working with a small team wherein you will be responsible for end-to-end solution architecture for multiple projects which will be a mix of cloud app development and cloud infrastructure.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Build relationships with business users with varying levels of technical acumen to and review, interpret and respond to detailed user stories/ business requirements specifications (BRS).
Ensure alignment between customer expectations and current or future Digital capabilities and the strategic plan.
You are comfortable taking the lead to define and design technology solutions that assist the business in meeting their objectives including technology solutions and changes to service, process and/or operating models.
Our significant projects will be small to medium sized, yet complex Application builds.
You will draw on your experience architecting cloud applications and supporting cloud services.
You will have worked on hybrid projects, providing the architectural steer internally, with delivery handled by an external party.
Provide input to the strategic direction of technology investments to assist in the development of the enterprise architecture and maximise the return on technology investment.
Develop and implement technology solutions and ensure they meet agreed timeframes.
Design and guide delivery of projects from inception through functional analysis of user stories/ requirements, the approval process for business case development, project execution and operational handover.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA: Azure and M365 experience.
Experience with cloud and on-premises systems.
Prior Government work experience would be advantageous.
Experience working with small to medium sized, yet complex Application builds which involves architecting cloud applications and supporting cloud services.
Happy being the sole/lead architect in a team.
Good working knowledge of Federated Identity -in Azure.
A self-starter who is capable of taking on extra responsibilities.
