The Opportunity
Play a key role in the d elivery of IT solutions, by designing solutions that achieve business outcomes in a cost-effective way, while meeting Enterprise architecture, regulatory, security and performance requirements.
What you'll be doing day-to-day
Platform planning and management.
Embedded within a cross functional team, Solution architects develop a deep understanding of required business outcomes, and documents the technical solutions required to deliver them.
Determine how solutions can be thinly sliced, to support rapid and iterative delivery that realises value in advance of a full-scale deployment.
Identify solution options to inform trade-off conversations on balancing delivery speed, levels of automation, re-use, technical debt, and cost.
Identify and escalate architecture decisions that require input from Enterprise architecture.
Work with technical architects to size solutions.
Have a clear understanding of Vocus strategy, and the implication for platform roadmaps.
Identify where prototypes are required to validate user experience or complex technical requirements.
Maintain ways of working consistent with Vocus standards.
Build and maintain relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
Support continuous improvement of the System of Work by raising improvement opportunities.
Deep understanding of how data is used within business processes and its impact on desired business process outcomes.
What you'll bring to this role
Minimum 15 years commercial IT experience with 10 Years demonstrated experience as a solution architect.
3 Years demonstrated experience in the Telecommunications sector and / or an agile solutioning environment.
Excellent with business analysis processes and ability to work closely with senior business stakeholders.
Outstanding commitment to customer service and internal and external customer experience.
Ability to ensure consistency of standards/procedures and promote efficiencies.
Well-developed relationship building skills.
Able to work and deliver to committed timeframes.
Strong leadership characteristics.
Experience working with Jira, Confluence, Gitlab and Microsoft office products.
