Specific responsibilities will include:Translating business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprintUnderstanding business drivers and capabilities and defining enterprise solution designs and change requirementsAnalysing the business-IT environment to detect critical deficiencies, legacy and technical debt, and propose solutions for improvement.Consulting with IT Operations, Security and Development, and identify and make changes to accommodate the solutions architectureLeading the evaluation, design and analysis for the implementation of the solutions architectureProviding consulting support to application architects within agile teams to ensure the project or product is aligned with the overall enterprise architecture, andDesigning and directing the governance activities ensuring solutions architecture assurance and compliance.This is an initial 12 months assignment commencing in July working with the Federal Government (with potential to extend to 3 years) so you MUST be an Australian Citizen (security clearance NOT required) and will be able to demonstrate:Significant experience as a Senior Strategic Solution Architect in large and complex environments including:Ability to work with and negotiate solutions with senior stakeholdersHave a strategic outlook to solutionsAbility to develop a quick understanding of new technologiesExperience with the following technologies: Network Infrastructure: Knowledge of OSI model and the communication protocols that operate at each layer of the stack.Security: Understanding encryption, in transit, and at rest and testing for vulnerabilities in a systems design.Cloud/Hybrid/On-Premises Infrastructure: Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies, platforms with knowledge of compute, storage, identity & access management, governance, and networking services.Database Administration or Design: Knowledge of SQL and data vault/data warehouse/data lake solutions.Note this is an on-site (at least 3 days per week) role based in Canberra.For more information and a confidential discussion, APPLY NOW.#J-18808-Ljbffr
