About the Role:
Emanate Technology is partnering exclusively with a key government client to find an experienced Solutions Architect for a critical systems enhancement project in their Data Analytics section. This role offers the opportunity to take a hands-on approach, working across multiple areas including system design, solution development, and requirements gathering. You will play a key role in analysing current systems and driving improvements to optimise performance and scalability.
Role Overview:
As a Solutions Architect, you will leverage your extensive expertise in Data & Analytics and Data Architecture to design and deliver practical, scalable solutions. Working closely with Infrastructure and Security subject matter experts (SMEs), you will ensure high-quality documentation and outcomes that align with the department's needs. As this is a smaller government department, the role requires versatility, engaging in both strategic design and hands-on solution implementation. Your main responsibilities will include leading the analysis, design, and implementation of technology solutions in line with the department's ICT strategic direction, architectural governance, and standards.
Key Responsibilities: Engage with business and technology stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.Design and implement technology solutions within the Data & Analytics domain, ensuring alignment with business needs and architectural governance.Lead the design and implementation of solutions across on-premises, commercial-off-the-shelf, and bespoke products, utilising Microsoft Azure cloud technologies, Azure DevOps, .NET applications, SQL, and data vault/data lake solutions.Collaborate with cybersecurity experts to design solutions that comply with ISM cybersecurity standards and develop System Security and Risk Management Plans.Work across Cloud, Hybrid, and On-Premises environments, using a range of technologies and platforms, including compute, storage, identity & access management, governance, and networking services.Develop solution options in collaboration with business and technology SMEs, providing estimates for total cost of ownership and resource requirements for both implementation and ongoing maintenance. Key Requirements: Proven ability to engage with stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical, scalable technology solutions.5+ years of experience designing and implementing solutions within the Data & Analytics domain, using a combination of on-premises, cloud (Microsoft Azure), DevOps, .NET, SQL, and data vault/data lake architectures.Demonstrated experience in designing solutions that meet ISM cybersecurity requirements, including the development of System Security and Risk Management Plans.Strong knowledge of Cloud, Hybrid, and On-Premises environments, with experience across a variety of technologies, platforms, and services (compute, storage, identity & access management, governance, networking).A proven track record of developing solution options in collaboration with business and technology SMEs, including providing total cost of ownership estimates and resource plans.Essential Criteria: Must hold a current Baseline security clearance.Must be based in Canberra.Experience working within small government agencies.Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.How to Apply:
