The Opportunity
We have an exceptional opportunity for a Solicitor to join our collaborative Adelaide team on a permanent, full-time basis.
You will be responsible for overseeing a range of interesting defendant insurance files with reputable clients, receiving ongoing mentoring and development from a Senior Principal, as well as support from the wider team.
Key Responsibilities
Managing a diverse range of defendant insurance matters, including motor, product and public liability claims, subrogated recovery actions, professional indemnity and CTP injury claims.
Conducting research and drafting pleadings, submissions, motions and briefs.
Negotiating settlements, attending conferences, mediations, court and managing court processes.
Advising and communicating directly with clients.
Providing guidance and mentorship to junior lawyers and support staff.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience, gained predominantly in the area of Insurance Litigation.
Specialisation in public liability, CTP, and historical abuse cases preferred.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with clients and other practitioners.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
