DeGaris Lawyers is a regional, general Law Firm in Mount Gambier, South Australia currently employing three solicitors and a registered conveyancer as well as support staff and specialising in Wills & Estates, Property Law, Conveyancing, Estate Administration, Family Law and Commercial Law.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor to join our team, practising predominantly in the areas of Civil Litigation, Wills, Commercial Law and Family Law.
As a small, general firm, this is a fantastic opportunity to manage your own files and to develop your legal and commercial skills.
What does the role involve?
Court Appearances
Taking instructions from Clients
Negotiation and representation at mediation
Reviewing commercial documents and providing advice
Drafting Affidavits, Claims, Defences and other Court documents
Drafting Family Law Agreements
All aspects of civil litigation
Excellent organisational and written and oral communication skills
High level of client service
Research and detailed analysis of case law and legislation
Document review and evidence preparation
About You
Experience would be preferred, but not essential. A Practising Certificate will be required.
We are looking for a person who can work independently and also as part of a team, who is a motivated and enthusiastic individual, willing to be involved in the local community.
Salary negotiable depending on experience of successful applicant.
