About Our Client:
CBR Recruitment is delighted to be working with a high profile, expert boutique legal practice based centrally within Canberra. Our client specialises in providing legal advice on a range of commercial property matters arising from strata issues, leasing, commercial sales and acquisitions, and complex property matters. Due to the growth of the firm, a fantastic opportunity has become available for an inspired, all-star Solicitor to join the team. This role would be the perfect fit for a candidate holding 3 years or more experience working on similar matters, who is open to new ideas and addressing legal issues using a fresh, outside of the box perspective.
Responsibilities:
Managing matters
Running client meetings and taking client instructions
Progressing matters in accordance with client instructions
Dealing with other side solicitors, financiers, authorities as necessary
Assisting in building the business and your professional profile
Networking with clients, potential clients, and referrers
Training, mentoring, and supervising junior staff and administrative staff as required
Ensuring proper file records are kept, including recording time or fees
Filing and ensuring filing is up to date (including paperless and paper-light filing)
Managing fee proposals, billing, and closing files
Continuing Professional Development as required to comply with your professional obligations
Assisting in the development of corporate documentation
Developing and maintaining precedents
Maintaining workflows, checklists, and other systems
Personal Requirements:
The ability to manage complex projects in a high profile, dynamic environment.
High level representational skills with the ability to build outstanding working relationships with stakeholders, staff, suppliers, and service providers.
The ability to work under pressure and prioritise matters to achieve outcomes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A confident and self-assured personality, with a positive, empathetic approach
