As a Solicitor, you will have the opportunity to manage your own files while working closely with the Principal Lawyer on complex family and criminal law matters. Some of your responsibilities will include:Managing family law and criminal matters while receiving support as neededAttending and running directions, interim hearings, dispute resolution conferences, and other court commitmentsResearching, drafting, and managing all court documents including Applications, Affidavits, and Financial StatementsIndependently advising clients and managing day-to-day correspondence related to their casesConferencing and advising clients on various legal mattersAbout You
The successful candidate will have:2+ years post-admission experience in Family LawA Bachelor of Laws and a current Practicing CertificateExperience as a confident advocate in court settingsKnowledge of PEXA and LEAP (desirable)Strong communication skills, both written and verbalYou will also have:A "can-do" attitude and a sense of humourStrong attention to detail and exceptional drafting skills.The ability to work autonomously and proactivelyExcellent time management and multi-tasking skills to meet tight deadlinesA strategic thinker with a pragmatic approach to complex legal mattersWhat's in it for You?
