About The Company Our client is a boutique law firm based in Penrith and established in 2016, specialising in family and criminal law while also providing services in estate planning and conveyancing. Their firm is committed to delivering high-quality legal services in a supportive and innovative environment.
About The Opportunity As a Solicitor, you will have the opportunity to manage your own files while working closely with the Principal Lawyer on complex family and criminal law matters. Some of your responsibilities will include:
Managing family law and criminal matters while receiving support as needed
Attending and running directions, interim hearings, dispute resolution conferences, and other court commitments
Researching, drafting, and managing all court documents including Applications, Affidavits, and Financial Statements
Independently advising clients and managing day-to-day correspondence related to their cases
Conferencing and advising clients on various legal matters
About You The successful candidate will have:
2+ years post-admission experience in Family Law
A Bachelor of Laws and a current Practicing Certificate
Experience as a confident advocate in court settings
Knowledge of PEXA and LEAP (desirable)
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
You will also have:
A "can-do" attitude and a sense of humour
Strong attention to detail and exceptional drafting skills.
The ability to work autonomously and proactively
Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills to meet tight deadlines
A strategic thinker with a pragmatic approach to complex legal matters
