About the roleWe are on the lookout for a dedicated and highly motivated
Solicitor
to join our Kemps Petersons Legal team in
Melbourne CBD . This role is a full-time permanent position.
Reporting to the Senior Solicitor, you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day management of a variety of legal matters across multiple jurisdictions working in debt recovery, strata recoveries, insolvency, commercial and civil litigation.ObjectivesAssist in the drafting, reviewing, and editing of legal documents including contracts, agreements, and legal correspondence, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal standards.Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support senior solicitors and provide accurate advice and guidance to clients.Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, effectively communicating legal advice and providing timely updates on case progress.Assist in the management of cases, including organising and maintaining case files, preparing court documents, and coordinating with external parties such as courts, opposing counsel and experts.Ensure adherence to legal and ethical standards by conducting thorough legal research, staying up to date with changes in legislation and providing recommendations to ensure compliance in client matters.About youIdeally you will have 3-5 years' post-admission experience and a current practising certificate, preferably with experience in debt recovery, strata recoveries, insolvency, commercial and civil litigation.Previous experience managing your own litigation files.Strong advocacy, negotiation, drafting and attention to detail.You're known for outstanding client service and communication skills (written & verbal).You can professionally and sensitively deal with clients and third parties.Knowledge of practice and procedure of Magistrates/Local, Supreme and Federal Courts.If you want to be the "glue" for our tribe and are a genuinely a nice person who is always willing to pitch in when the chips are down, then we will consider you!We are a hardworking team, who pride ourselves on being loyal, supportive and we always work with the highest integrity.About UsIf you haven't heard of PICA Group, check us out:
