About the role
Are you a dedicated and highly motivated Solicitor seeking a fresh start in 2025?
Join our dynamic Kemps Petersons Legal team in Melbourne CBD.
This is a full-time permanent position where you'll report directly to the Senior Solicitor/Team Leader.
You will manage a variety of legal matters across multiple jurisdictions, specialising in debt recovery, strata recoveries, insolvency, commercial, and civil litigation.
Objectives
Assist in the drafting, reviewing, and editing of legal documents including contracts, agreements, and legal correspondence, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal standards.
Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support senior solicitors and provide accurate advice and guidance to clients.
Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, effectively communicating legal advice and providing timely updates on case progress.
Assist in the management of cases, including organising and maintaining case files, preparing court documents, and coordinating with external parties such as courts, opposing counsel and experts.
Ensure adherence to legal and ethical standards by conducting thorough legal research, staying up to date with changes in legislation and providing recommendations to ensure compliance in client matters.
About you
Ideally you will have 3-5 years' post-admission experience and a current practising certificate, preferably with experience in debt recovery, strata recoveries, insolvency, commercial and civil litigation.
Proven experience managing your own litigation files.
Strong advocacy, negotiation, drafting and attention to detail.
Renowned for outstanding client service and communication skills (both written and verbal).
Ability to professionally and sensitively handle client and third-party interactions.
Knowledge of practice and procedure in Magistrates/Local, Supreme, and Federal Courts.
