Our front-end construction team is engaged on a broad range of projects across energy and resources, economic and social infrastructure, real estate development and telecommunications sectors in Australia. The breadth of our practice means the work we cover is varied and no two of our projects look the same. In this role you will have the opportunity to deliver varied, challenging and complex legal work including: Drafting and advising on all forms of construction and project documentation, including D&C contracts, EPC and O&M agreements, PPP project documents, procurement documentation, professional appointments and associated documents. Providing strategic advice on procurement structures, construction contract administration and claims management. Reviewing construction contracts and preparing due diligence reports.
Our team works with an enviable range of clients. We act for energy providers, developers and contractors (in particular wind farm manufacturers), project sponsors and financiers as well as top tier infrastructure developers, property developers and construction companies. We also act for key Government clients on some of Australia's most high-profile infrastructure developments. This role will report to Steve Swan, Partner, a construction specialist with a focus on front-end construction projects. Our close-knit team includes two senior associates and a junior lawyer. We pride ourselves on legal excellence, but the flexibility, trust and support across our team are also really important. You will have: Excellent analytical, communication and research skills to contribute to the delivery of prompt and commercially astute advice. A strong commitment to client service - you will play a role in supporting and actively developing our relationships with clients. A team focus to facilitate effective teamwork by developing strong internal relationships (an excellent sense of humour is a must). Enthusiasm to be involved in business development activities. First-rate experience in drafting construction and project documents.
