The Harvey Norman Commercial Team are currently seeking a motivated Full Time Solar Project/Procurement Coordinator to keep up with the increased demand of our Solar business. We are looking for a driven and ambitious solar professional who wants to work in a truly collaborative environment which will challenge you and assist you to achieve success and job satisfaction. Based at our Taren Point Office, you will represent Harvey Norman with strong customer service and communication skills. You will be part of the solar delivery team, overseeing the project, liaising with our customers & installers to coordinate high quality solar installations.
As a Solar Coordinator you will need to be capable of forecasting product requirements and negotiating competitive pricing with our suppliers. The successful applicant should be able to evaluate current trends and negotiate the best price for products.
Responsibilities
Confirming details on orders are correct with the customer
Liaise with site supervisors and confirm delivery dates
Organize installers and arrange delivery dates
Arrange materials to be delivered to site on time
Enter jobs into Simpro
Arrange all pre installation approvals including grid applications
Help customers in placing Service Calls
Maintain products, pricing and solar packages in Simpro
Set up and maintain new product codes & pricing in GP
Strategies for clearance products
Negotiate with suppliers to obtain best pricing
Liaise with your team to ensure best project pricing & product availability
Provide internal support with pricing and product knowledge
Forecast supply requirements with our suppliers
Explore warehousing options and feasibility
Stock take preparation
Provide a weekly update on product changes and availability
Engage manufacturers for product trainings
Follow company policy and procedure re; paperwork/customer files/uniforms
Attend weekly team meetings
Punctuality re: commencement of work
Be involved with supplier training & conferences
Requirements
Min, 2 year experience in a similar role
The ability to work in a Team environment
Advanced Communication skills – both written and verbal
Initiative, an organized working style
Common sense and an eye for detail.
Solar experience preferred but not mandatory
Ability to resolve issues - Thrives in challenging tasks
Handle multiple duties simultaneously and exhibit initiative
Intermediate computer skills
Self driven
