Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Solar Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar PV systems, ensuring compliance with CEC guidelines and Australian standards. This role is ideal for a skilled electrician with a passion for renewable energy and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities: Install, commission, and maintain solar PV systems according to CEC guidelines and Australian standards. Conduct electrical wiring, testing, and troubleshooting of solar systems to ensure optimal performance. Perform site assessments and pre-installation checks to determine system suitability. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations, including AS/NZS 3000 (Wiring Rules) and AS/NZS 5033 (Installation of PV Arrays). Collaborate with engineers and other team members to deliver projects on time and within budget. Provide customer support and education on system operation and maintenance. Complete and submit all required documentation, including compliance certificates and system performance reports. Stay updated with the latest industry developments, CEC requirements, and Australian standards. Qualifications: Current unrestricted Electrical License in Australia. CEC accreditation for solar installation (Grid-Connect) is required. Proven experience in installing and maintaining solar PV systems. Strong understanding of Australian standards, including AS/NZS 3000 and AS/NZS 5033. Knowledge of solar inverters, battery storage systems, and associated technologies. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Current driver's license and White Card.
