Responsibilities: Run high-throughput soil analysis with high scientific accuracy and rigour.
Maintaining the laboratory in accordance with NATA requirements following standard operating procedures for soil carbon analysis.
Maintain high laboratory standards of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.
Identify opportunities for process enhancement and maintain databases and spreadsheets with soil sample data.
Utilize statistical and analytical software to analyze soil data, compile, clean and identify trends.
Generate comprehensive reports and visualizations to present data findings.
Collaborate with researchers to interpret data results and draw meaningful conclusions.
Provide technical support and training to lab staff on data-related procedures.
Compile and present data in clear, concise reports for research purposes.
Communicate findings effectively to team members and stakeholders.
Requirements Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Soil Science, Soil Chemistry, or Soil Biology.
Strong safety awareness with the ability to conduct risk assessments.
Capacity to take responsibility for a designated area and assist others in meeting standards.
Excellent attention to detail, a solid work ethic, and the physical ability to handle soil samples.
Ability to meet strict deadlines.
