About Our Client: Our client is a leading innovator in the Mining Technology sector, dedicated to enhancing sustainability and safety in mining operations and material movement. With R&D offices in Brisbane, Canada, and Chile, these roles will be based in their Brisbane office.
Role Overview: As part of a dynamic team of innovative Software Engineers, you will focus on next-generation technologies under the guidance of the Research & Development Manager. You'll be a key member of an agile software team, tasked with advancing capabilities for their Open Source Platform.
Key Responsibilities: Design and implement robust, reliable software solutions for autonomous vehicles. Contribute to full-stack design and implementation, including backend web services. Analyze code and application performance for optimization and tuning. Collaborate with technical services and operations teams to investigate and resolve customer issues. Develop and implement automated unit/component test cases and test harnesses. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and engineering excellence. Promote quality and technical excellence within the development team. Collaborate within a cross-functional product team to align on business and technology objectives. Actively engage in scrum rituals, including review sessions with business stakeholders. Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience with C#, C++, or Python. Familiarity with the entire development lifecycle, including concept, development, unit testing, automated functional testing, deployment, and monitoring. Understanding of Agile development principles and Scrum practices. Knowledge of professional software engineering practices across the full software development lifecycle. Experience with containerized applications and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus but not required. Bachelor's Degree in Systems, Electronics, Software Engineering, or a related field.
