Our engineers, developers, radar experts, technicians and project managers provide a full suite of products and services ranging from co-design to commercialisation, deployment, and system support.
We are currently hiring software engineers of all levels, whether you are just starting in your career or looking to develop your skills and take on new responsibilities. As a valuable member of our high performing team, you will apply your experience to ensure effective software engineering is applied to our projects, product development and service delivery. You will have the opportunity to work on software and systems ranging from web-based user interfaces for our man-portable radars, signal processing algorithms running on GPUs, and control software that automates operation of our space surveillance radars.
Your Responsibilities Develop critical software components, services and applications for our passive radars and supporting subsystems Maintain software baselines, perform code reviews, and ensure proper change control processes are followed Ensure the stability and reliability of software releases through automated unit and regression testing Assist in planning, estimation, and design activities Write high-level design, interface, and test documentation Participate in trials, product demonstrations and field support Supervise and mentor junior engineers Interact with customers and other stakeholders as a subject matter expert About You Overall, you're an ideas person and problem solver as well as a hands-on doer – that's important. You must have: Bachelor's degree in engineering or another relevant technical subject 2 years work experience as a Software Engineer (multiple levels available) Experience with the various aspects of the software development lifecycle (needs analysis, requirements, design, implementation, testing, support) The ability to work both independently and within a team Good technical communication skills, written and verbal Excellent time management skills and the ability to reliably estimate task effort Clearances As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
