Overview: As our Multiplayer Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the server backend infrastructure for our multiplayer games. You will work closely with our engineering and design teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of our networking systems.
Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain server backend systems for multiplayer games. Implement and manage integrations with PlayFab or similar backend services. Develop and optimize matchmaking systems and server orchestration using Kubernetes or similar technologies. Work with low-level socket networking to ensure efficient and reliable data transmission. Collaborate with other engineers to ensure smooth gameplay experiences and high server performance. Troubleshoot and resolve networking issues in a timely manner. Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies and best practices. What You Bring to The Table: Proven experience as a Multiplayer Engineer, Network Engineer, Server Backend Engineer, or similar role in the gaming industry. Strong understanding of server backend development and multiplayer networking. Experience with PlayFab or similar backend services. Proficiency in server orchestration tools such as Kubernetes. Knowledge of low-level socket networking and protocols. Strong programming skills in languages such as C++, C#, or similar. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. Bonus Points! Experience with Unreal Engine. Familiarity with additional backend services and technologies. Previous experience working on multiplayer games. What We Offer Here at PlaySide!
