Experience: 2-4 years of professional experience in full stack web development. Front End: Proficiency in modern HTML, CSS and JavaScript or TypeScript using modern web development frameworks. Backend: Grounding in PHP, whether that's using Symfony or Laravel framework. Cloud: Experience with AWS Services (S3, RDS etc.) Motivation: Self-motivation and a desire to take ownership of work. Attitude: A great attitude, with a passion for delivering excellent service and a readiness to pick up a task, no matter how big or small. What you'll do As the newest Engineer working on LawTap, you will start by collaborating closely with LawTap's founder to gain an in-depth understanding of the product's technical landscape. In the long term, you'll play a key role in enhancing LawTap's functionality and will be the primary Engineer overseeing all aspects of development, with support from a wider Engineering team. This is a full-stack role, with approximately 30% of your time focused on enhancing and improving the existing solution, and 70% dedicated to developing new features. Our tech stack includes PHP 8, Symfony Framework, JavaScript, and Aurora MySQL, deployed on AWS. Your day-to-day might include:
Implementing mobile-first UI enhancements based on design specifications. Developing and maintaining Web APIs used by applications such as LEAP and LawLytics. Optimizing code for performance, scalability, and maintainability. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams from Customer Service and DevOps to Product and UX to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions. Why join LawTap?
