Our role: The Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and installing software solutions and delivering quality software for target clients within set deadlines and specifications. The engineer also ensures that related activities are well-planned, managed, and completed within agreed-upon standards.
This role reports to the Development Manager and does not have people management responsibilities.
A day in your role:Design and develop core software solutions for client applications.Provide guidance to team members, promoting best practices in software development.Investigate and resolve reported software defects effectively and efficiently.Contribute to the design and development of new software features.Perform in-depth problem analysis to identify root causes and implement solutions.Engage in enterprise-grade Java system development with a focus on quality and scalability.Enhance and refine continuous feedback processes to support ongoing improvement.Participate in occasional client workshops to gather insights and requirements.Uphold responsibilities as outlined in company policies and plans, including adherence to the Quality Policy, Information Security Policy, and Risk Management Policy/Plan.Your skills, experience and beyond:A minimum of 2 years of full-time professional experience working with Java.Proficient in SQL with a solid understanding of database concepts.Hands-on experience with distributed version control systems such as Git or Mercurial.Familiarity with build tools like Maven for managing project dependencies.Knowledge and practical experience with Relational Database Management Systems, including MySQL or SQL Server.Our benefits:Hybrid work arrangements to support work-life balance.Access to EAP for confidential counselling.Extensive learning resources to develop your skills.Regular social events to promote team bonding.We are recognized as an endorsed employer for women.
