These projects, including but not limited to the Extra Large Autonomous Undersea Vehicle (XL-AUV) Program, require Senior Software Engineers with broad experience to drive the delivery of a variety of software enabled capabilities to our customers. Anduril Senior Software Engineers rapidly develop expertise in new domains in order to architect, design, deliver, support, and evolve next generation capabilities through the entire product life-cycle.WHAT YOU'LL DOEmpathize with end-users and contribute to software engineering teams that balance those user needs with external constraints, restrictions and requirements in a multi-stakeholder environmentOwn software enabled solutions that are deployed to customers, optimizing for the delivery of value to the end-userImplement software that rapidly delivers capability beyond the scope of current platforms, with a clear path for both architecture and capability evolution over timeContribute to the development of existing software services across Anduril, with the aim of developing components that are re-usable across multiple Anduril product linesDevelop software that runs on- and off- robotic platforms, using a variety of technologiesWork as part of a team to develop, then iteratively enhance, vehicle and mission software, including full lifecycle testing, monitoring and operationCreate test and simulation fixtures that operate with both software- and hardware-in-the-loopSupport vehicle manufacturing and deploymentTravel to co-locate with end-users up to 20% of the timeWork as a member of a multi-disciplinary engineering team with supremely experienced Electrical, Mechanical, Systems and Software Engineers to grow your own skills to the standard of Senior Software EngineerREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, a relevant field, or equivalent experienceProfessional experience working as a Software Engineer with one or more domains and/or technologies of competenceSystems and/or application programming skills including algorithms, data structures, concurrency, scaling, testing and software designExperience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systemsCapacity to work holistically on software enabled capabilities up and down the software stack and through lifecycle through design, implementation, operation and sustainmentCapacity to learn and grow rapidly, building personal and team capacityAbility to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security ClearancePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience writing backend services or embedded software in C++ and/or GoExperience writing frontend applications using Typescript and ReactExperience with the design, implementation and operation of horizontally scaled cloud technologiesExperience with the design, implementation and support of embedded software, particularly in the field of roboticsExperience within the product delivery lifecycle including manufacturing, system acceptance, deployment, and sustainmentAnduril is an equal-opportunity employer, and we encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply.
