A b o u t t h e r o l eTyro are now looking to welcome a backend focused Software Engineer to be a member of our Engineering team! As a Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on our complete suite of systems, from our core payment infrastructure to various innovative merchant-facing systems. We employ Agile methods and use the principles and practices of eXtreme Programming. This means you'll work in small teams and engage in pair programming. Drawing upon a wide range of open-source technologies, we construct superior solutions from best-of-breed components so you'll always be learning something new.
What you'll doWriting well designed, testable, efficient code and lots of it.Engage with the entire delivery lifecycle, from inception to production, including planning, development, and testing, with contributions at every stage.Embrace a true agile methodology and actively participate in the continuous improvement of the team.Translate your technical skills to influence other developers, product managers and senior managers to ensure the team understands the Tyro vision.Experiment with new technologies! We're always open to trialling something new.What you'll bringA strong passion for developing high-quality software.Demonstrated experience in Java or other object-oriented programming languages.
