The Position This is a key role for a Software Engineer to support the work of developing software tools for the analysis and visualisation of large 3 D volumetric images within the Department of Material Physics, Research School of Physics.
The successful candidate will be working in a small team comprising experimental and theoretical scientists, research students and software engineers, working on software for geological data acquisition and analysis.
This role is integral to the delivery/support of the Material Physics' CTLab and Digital material analysis team on 3 D imaging and multiscale image analysis tools.
The Person We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer with C++ and Python skills to develop software tools for the analysis and visualisation of large 3 D volumetric images.
The person will be a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to quickly develop productive, professional relationships with colleagues and clients.
Highly developed organisational skills and effective self-management are key.
