We specialise in cutting-edge high energy laser and electro-optical capabilities for space object tracking, characterisation, identification, optical communications, and laser directed energy systems.
EOS Space Systems develops complex opto-electronic systems with a range of electronic control and instrumentation sub-systems requiring reliable software and firmware. Job Description About the Role As a Software Engineer in the EOS Space Systems team, you will participate in the development of complex software solutions for a laser directed energy weapon for counter uncrewed aircraft systems (C-UAS). You will apply a diverse set of skills to develop control system solutions for robust operation of high energy laser systems.
Duties will include:
Design, development, and testing complex software for lasers, laser beam directors, and enclosures. Assist with validation of software systems, including testing, peer review and other methods. Prepare and maintain software and design documentation. Provide support for the integration, testing and through life maintenance of EOS products and systems. Development of system health status monitoring tools and accuracy reporting. Desired Skills and Experience About You We are looking for someone who can collaborate in a highly-paced environment and is a problem solver with attention to detail. The one who is self-motivated and a forward thinker. A person should be able to demonstrate the following:
C++. Python. Distributed processing. Safety critical software and/or systems automation. Real-time systems. Software development and testing methodologies and concepts including DevSecOps. Australian Citizen and eligible to attain an Australian Government Security clearance. It is desirable but not essential if you also have any of the following:
Database and web technologies. JavaScript. Online cloud-based computing. Visualisation technologies and enhancing the user experience.
