ABOUT THE ROLE
The Software Developer is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of subject applications, to deliver value to users & stakeholders. Collaborates with ICD-focused resources to ensure seamless integration and co-development of applications as relevant.

RFQ role
Minimum of NV2 Clearance
18 months contract
Sydney-based

Responsibilities include:

Design and Development: Develop application, API, hooks and connectors ensuring it meets the specified functional requirements, using Defence-provided facilities and computing environments. This includes both frontend and backend development, integration, and test performance.
Deployment and Defect Rectification: Prepare software packages for deployment onto platform infrastructure. Assist with diagnosis and defect identification. Use the Defence supplied IDE for control, deployment and pipeline management.
Data Tagging and Upload: Implement functionalities that allow users to tag data appropriately and upload it to S3-compliant object stores. This involves integrating with various data sources and ensuring seamless data flow.
Workflow Development: Develop and document the process workflow for data management. This includes creating detailed flowcharts and process diagrams, defining data pipelines, and ensuring that all stages of data processing are clearly outlined and efficient.

Key Expectations & Accountabilities
Expectations:

Design and develop the architecture of the web application.
Implement functionalities for data tagging and uploading to S3-compliant object stores.
Collaborate with the Database Designer, UI Designer, and other team members to ensure seamless integration.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.

Delivering a functional and well-documented web application.
Ensuring the application meets performance and security standards.
Meeting project deadlines and milestones.
Collaborating effectively with other team members and stakeholders.
Maintaining high-quality code and documentation.
