Our large government client is seeking an experienced Canberra based Software Developer (NV1 or NV2) to work in a branch responsible for the development, operation and sustainment of systems, including its Enterprise GIS. This includes the delivery of geospatial data to multiple security domains, support for the development of complex GIS workflows and geospatial web services, and the delivery of expert advice and training on the use of GIS for a wide range of users.You will join the project team and be part of a small, dedicated group of GIS Web Developers / Software Engineers. Candidates should have at least 3-5 years of commercial development experience, and can expect to be involved with all aspects of the development process including analysis, design, coding, verification, testing, and documentation. Work will be focused towards roadmap deliverables in pursuit of key project objectives and initiatives building geospatial capability for the Australian community.Skillset and Experience Requirements:You will assist with troubleshooting, diagnosis, and rectification of system issues to ensure performance and availability. Applicants need to demonstrate an adaptive approach to change and have the ability to apply agreed standards and tools to achieve well-engineered outcomes that align with senior team member's expectations.
