About the program AIR6500 is the RAAF's $3 billion program to develop a joint air battle management system that builds on the capabilities offered by Next Generation sensor and command and control systems.
AIR6500 will create a fully networked 'system of systems' that synchronises air and missile defence operations in joint and coalition environments, maximising situational awareness and enhancing the speed of decision making across the battlespace.
Your responsibilities will include: In this role, you will oversee and drive the software build and release management process, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless and secure deployments.
Key Responsibilities include: Maintain standards and practices for Branch Management, Product Versioning, Source Control Management and Release Management Develop and implement release strategies that align with best practices Create Software builds and associated documentation.
Leverage CI/CD tools to automate creation, testing and deployment of software releases.
Utilise tools such as JIRA and GitLab to manage software files and track software changes through the Software Release process.
Maintain accurate documentation for environment configurations, processes, and procedures Monitor and Maintain the health of supporting DevOps infrastructure like container orchestration, build agents, monitoring tools and dashboards and implement improvements to enhance reliability and scalability About you: To be successful in the role you will have sound experience with and knowledge of build and release management in a complex engineering environment.
You will also: Demonstrate knowledge and experience with Version Control and Repository Management tools such as GitLab and Nexus and experience with CI/CD tools such as Gitlab, Have the ability to communicate effectively within a team and across teams, Have a deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and promote best practices, Thrive in a fast paced Agile Software Development working environment.
