This role will also be looking to guide the team in understanding the technical objectives as well as creation of technical solutions that are aligned with the system and project objectives.
You will be reporting to the Project Manager and working very closely with the Software Engineering Lead and System Architect of the project.
Other stakeholders that you will be working with are customer representatives, project management, subcontractors across a range of technical project areas such as Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, ILS, Training, Security, and many more.
Responsibilities include:
Review of technical CDRL such as ICD, IDD, MSDD, MSS, and SWMPCreation of technical CDRL (SWRP ENG-900)Overseeing the architecture and technical designInvolved in planning and estimation activitiesRisk assessment and strategy planningExplaining complex technical issues to a range of audiencesQualificationsAbout You and What You'll Bring Essential skills:System modelling languages/notation, e.g.
UML, C4System designSoftware estimationTechnical leadershipHighly desirable skills: familiarity with:LinuxSolrNiFiSpring BootKafkaElastic Stack (ELK)AnsibleKarafKeycloakGitJavaVirtualisationContainerisationAgile, specifically ScrumStrong system and application design skillsAbility to provide technical leadership of a large team in a professional environment.Strong focus on customer service and outcomes.Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate highly technical information to technical and non-technical people.Proven ability to adapt and maintain a flexible approach to changing needs or priorities.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.Familiar with Defence organisation and processes.Good time management.Due to the nature of work we do for our customers, all applicants are required to be Australian Citizens and hold or be willing to apply for a NV2 security clearance.
